This 64 square meter two-bedroom apartment is located in the city of Lviv. The owner is a young IT professional, who uses home as an office quite often. In this property, we decided to step away from the often-used open-plan kitchen and decided to keep two separate rooms - a kitchen and a living room. We aimed to make the interior as simple as possible while remaining practical, using gray color tones and natural textures in materials design.
The kitchen turned out to be quite spacious, even though its area was not very large. We went for neutral white and gray tones, which make the space look uncluttered and clean. The centerpiece of the room is a round table adorned with rich brown veneer, which can be extended to accommodate more guests along with four vibrant leather chairs. Attention is also drawn to the art piece painted by Yaroslava.
We paid great attention to details. They are details that create the overall picture and impression of the interior, including fabrics, rugs, parquet, surfaces, tiles, wood - all of these elements serve visual and tactile pleasure.
The entrance area turned out to be quite interesting. Since there was no space for a separate wardrobe in the apartment, a large wardrobe performed its function in the corridor. We added open shelves in the center to make it look “lighter”. These shelves were made of thin metal sheets and recessed into concealed grooves, resulting in a very attractive unit that we also illuminated for additional effect.
Despite being quite compact, the living room included all necessities – a comfortable sofa and an accent wall with wooden panels, featuring a television and additional workspace integrated into a single structure with the TV stand.
We finally reached the bedroom. The entire furniture section was designed as a single unit to ensure a harmonious blend. A sturdy bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe with milled facades, and a spacious workspace – this is exactly what the apartment owner asked for.
There is chocolate-colored parquet on the floor, which looks very stylish in combination with a gray sofa and a rug. There's also a vase that provides additional coziness to this room and thick linen curtains.
We named this property "Norr," inspired by the eponymous collection of Italian porcelain stoneware from the Mirage factory, which replicates the "stone effect." We used this collection to decorate the floors in the kitchen, bathroom and corridor.
